LEADERS BEHIND THE SCENES WITH MOSHA LUNDSTROM
GET READY FOR THE SCANDINAVIAN WEST SIDE BEAUTY. MOSHA IS A BEAUTIFUL & POWERFUL WOMAN, WITH VIKING ROOTS, LIVING IN L.A. A REGULAR WRITER FOR VOUGE, AN ENTREPRENEUR AND A SMALL NORDIC WOMAN WITH A BIG VOICE, WE WERE DYING TO GET TO KNOW HER BETTER.
WHO IS MOSHA LUNDSTROM?
My days are slightly in reverse here in LA. I get up as early as possible and immediately need to start work, due to the time zone. I call my sister/business partner in Ireland, with one eye open, pretending I am wide awake. The eight hour time difference between us is no fun. After a solid four hours of work (sometimes with a break to hop on a zoom yoga class together), I make a smoothie and take my dog for a hike.
COFFEE OR TEA (OR ALCOHOL, WE DON ́T JUDGE)
A latte made with Feel Iceland collagen, cardamom, and Oatly oat milk. Served in a handmade mug from Brother Vellies.
TYPICAL WORK DAY?
4 hours working on the creative side of my business Therma Kōta
45 min hike and call friends
2 hours catching up on admin and emails
Lunch and call family
2 hours working on writing and editing assignments
30 mins - 1 hour exercising, usually while listening to podcasts.
BEST SELFCARE ADVICE?
End daily showers with at least 2 minutes of freezing cold water and do breath-work, Wim Hof style. Your skin, hair, eyes, and personality will all sparkle afterwards.
WORK-LIFE BALANCE (WHAT DO YOU TO FOR FUN)?
I am currently enrolled in an interior design course. It’s the best kind of homework. I am also taking riding lessons. Horses are good for the soul.
WHAT PRODUCT IS ALWAYS BY YOUR SIDE?
A rich lip balm (such as the Nuori lip treat) and my notebook.
HOW TO BE A FEMALE LEADER?
Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. Admitting mistakes, fears, and weaknesses allows everyone around you to come together and put their ego aside. The best ideas and innovations come from this place.
THAT ONE PRODUCT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS?
A beautiful face oil, such as Votary’s super seed oil (which my husband also steals). It’s super hydrating, without any essential oils, which can cause irritation.
CURRENT OBSESSION (BOOKS, INTERIOR, MUSIC – WHATEVER YOUR MIND CAN ́T GET ENOUGH OF ATM.)?
Podcast interviews with authors I admire,
such as Zadie Smith, Reni Eddo-Lodge, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; Country music by Colter Wall; collecting cowboy boots; making my own cold brew coffee; studying Icelandic on my language app.
FOR KEEPING THE WRINKLES AWAY?
A bucket hat and SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF50 Sunscreen. Both came recommended from my dermatologist.
FOR THAT GLOWING SKIN?
Bioeffect EGF serum, Tata Harper illuminating moisturizer and eye cream, Milk Makeup highlighter sticks.
FOR SULTRY EYES & SMOLDERING LIP?
Jill Dempsey eye tint in taupe (which I also use in the hollows of my cheeks) and cheek tint in Petal (which I also love on my lips for the perfect ‘60s pink). Super easy to apply for a natural look with just the right amount of definition.
FOR HEALTY & BOUNCY HAIR?
R&Co Television Shampoo & Conditioner, and Ouai hair oil. Both smell amazing. I also love a line from Brazil called Spa Deia é Renata. Brazilians have the best haircare treatments in the world.
FOR SMOOTH BODY?
I’ll use my coarse cold brew coffee grounds to exfoliate in the shower, then apply SkinDew’s all-natural firming body oil. This combo is like a caffeinated drink for your skin.
